38. 6th Pregnancy. Scared n worried.

GM. Im 38. I am pregnant with my 6th and last child. I have 4 girls 21, 19, 9, and 1. And only on son 13. I am married to an amzing man for 2 1/2 years. He only has 3 girls prior and we just had a baby girl together a year ago. This is my last attempt at pregnancy and I would love to give him his first Son. What worries me is that I am high risk and hear that women my age are more likely to have even more complications or have babies with illnesses.  Currently stressing over sex and health of baby. This pregnancy feels different from my girls. Showing ALOT at 11 weeks. Baby looks ok so far. Hair dull And like brillo pads. Hair on body outta control. Skin feels like sand paper from outbreaks. Exreme nausea but no vomit. Migrains non stop. And have lost all taste for sweets. Any ideas?

Heyyyyyy! Your symptoms sound like mine. I'm 39 having baby number 7, my husband only has 3 girls and I had 1 son who's now 21, and 2 daughters ages 20 and 13 prior to marrying him...we have 3 girls together, ages 8,6 and 3....we tried for a boy each time but got girls. So here we are pregnant again, and this will not only be my 7th child but my 5th c section, so all the births, c sections and my age puts me again high risk as well...I'm 30 weeks now but worried so much up until about 4 weeks ago. I felt like I'd loose the baby, I was afraid I would die during surgery, I worried about having another girl (which I'll love regardless), I worried of the dr really knew what he was doing and believe it or not, I started having horrible contractions and nightmares. I stopped worrying and started praying. Well long story short, I'm giving my husband a son and my dr said this c section will be the worst I've ever had but told me he saw nightmare reason I would not make it through. It's a woman's nature to worry...try to relax and I promise your symptoms sound exactly like mine, the nausea, headaches, stress bad hair and skin...ohhhh yes I experienced every bit of it....even constipation! I made it through, and so will you. Just stop worrying so much and trust that every thing will work out somehow! :) Smiling for you because you're going to be alright!

Congrats on ur baby! If the baby looks fine then u shouldn't stress about problems. Hope u get ur boy

Sounds like ur in the same boat was in. I have 5 days left with a boy.

How far along r u?  If u get the genetic testing I heard they can tell if it's a boy or girl that way, otherwise u may have to wait until the fetal anatomy ultrasound.  I hope u get ur boy with ur hubby!  I'm hoping for a boy as well.  Well see in a couple of weeks.
