how to just-start labor.

I don't want my doctor to induce me. So does anyone know of home remedies to jump-start labor? I haven't lost my mucus plug yet. But when the time comes I really want my body to go into labor by itself not by patoision. Please help.

I learned this in my lamaze class- a way to stimulate labor is literally by having sex.  to induce labor they put oxitocin (a hormone that a woman releases via oragism) that in the IV and insert a tablet into the vagina (I forgot what it was called but it starts with a p, and its the same hormone that is found in semen)    also they are exercises that you can do to lower the baby deeper into the pelvis.. mainly dancing and rocking/swaying your pelvis.

Walking and walking till you get tired, and then sex. It worked for me, went into labor the next day.

Nipple stimulation is ment to work. But you have to really stimulate and play with your nipples for a good 10 minutes at a time. Also walking, bumpy car drives, sex and eating lots of pineapple are ment to help.... I say ment to because none of it worked for me. Good luck xx

Google pressure points in your feet to naturally induce labour.  I watched a you tube clip on how and where to push, apparently worKs for 80% of women :)

I'm having the same issue. I'm 41 weeks today and nothing has happened. I haven't lost my mucus plug either. I didn't really want to be induced but have a feeling I'll be anyway.
Hoping it'll just happen naturally soon.

Have you asked your doctor to do a membrane strip? Walking doesnt really work unless you are having contractions. My doctor told me to have sex and raspberry leaves... but its different for everyone.
