16 week check up tomorrow

i cant believe i have made it this far...last week i was so excited because im pretty certain i felt the baby move...sadly i havent felt it since then...i have been worrying that something is wrong...i use my home doppler but today im having a hard time finding the baby...does it move around that quickly? could my backward tilted uterus make it more difficult? ....anyway ill get a reading of about 146-150 for a few seconds and then its gone...i think thats the baby but im not sure

i can say that the mother's womb sounds like a haunted house...sheesh all the wind blowing noises would scare the crap out of me...

in any event...i find out what im haivng in 2 weeks....i hope that tomorrow goes well and my baby is still ok

Can't wait until your appointment.  So glad to hear that you were able to find the heartbeat this morning.  Sounds like everything is going to be fine with this one.

I too have a slightly tilted uterus and its harder for us to find on our own heartbeats. Im 18wks and I dont have consistent movement yet. And honestly its a bit too soon to worry about "kick counts" yet.  But on the fetal doppler Id aim for your lower abdominal area and press in a bit.  If you catch a heart beat and it leaves - remember theres alot of room for flips and movement right now so please dont worry! Congratulations!

Yay!!  16 weeks!!  Don't worry too much about still having trouble with the doppler.  Until I was 20 weeks or so I had a really hard time finding it easily.  Some days, no problem, other days, total frustration.  I had an anterior placenta and if baby got all the way behind it, forget it!!  So I would think that a tilted uterus could make if more difficult as well.  As for not much movement, again movement was inconsistant for a few more weeks yet.  I think that's pretty normal.  Depends on the positioning and how big your little one is.  Also, it can depend on what your weight was.

It sounds like everything is pretty normal, and I am so very very happy for you.  I am not even going to try to tell you not to worry, I know you will given what you have been through, but do try to enjoy as well.  I worried so much during my pregnancy with Ryder that I feel a bit cheated now.   I wish I had been able to enjoy is more instead of all the worry.  Hugs to you and I can't wait to read about your appointment!!!
