hydrocodone

hi,ive been taking hydrocodne through my whole pregnancy for pain .not abusing.i am 37 weeks pregnant and 5 days.i am down to about 10 to 20 milligrams a day.i have tapered through whole pregnancy down to this much.will my baby surely be born with withdrawls?even at this low dose?

There is no way to be sure but probably not.  I was on dilaudid my whole pregnancy and my baby - now 2 months - had no problems! It is important that you breast feed as some medication will get through and it will help the baby to not withdraw.  As long as you keep an eye out for seizures, excessive crying and trouble feeding your baby should be fine! my ob doesnt know.i switched doctors and the old one gave it to me,but i didnt say anything to my new one.i was to scared to tell my doctor ive been reading really wierd stuff about people that are prescribed it legaly and then cps takes thier kid away.i hope to be completely off them by next week,or at least down to 10 mg a day.i just want to know if anyone has had thier baby have withdrawals on that little amount.the only things i can find to read are about those that took like 50 to 100 mgs aday.which is like 10 pills.i take 1-2

If your not abusing, surely your doctor knows your taking it right? I think this is a question for them.
