induced...scared/nervous

Im currently 34 weeks and 3 days. Due to my blood pressure the baby's belly is measuring small but everything else looks fine.my doctor is sending me to a high risk doctor this week and together they will decide when I will have the baby. My doctor told me most likely around 37 weeks if I can last that long. So thats only a little over 2 weeks. Has anyone else been induced and how long did the process take? I heard some people are in labor several days after being induced. Im really upset that I have to be induced this early although they said my baby will be fine since its only three weeks til my due date. What do they do to induce you?

You will be fine. I was induced with #1 but it was because my water broke but I was not progressing. With #2 I went naturally. Either way it is hard but with good support nearby you will do it! And it will all be a distant memory as soon as baby is here.

I was induced for same reasons as you..i was induced at 36 wks..couldnt wait the extra week .. The placed gels to loosen my cervix at midnight , the following morning bout 11 i was taken to labour ward ..
I had no symptoms of labour so they then used a drip that induces labour ..i was in labour for 4hrs & delivered my son, he is now 22..lol..
They wont let you go long in labour cos it will affect yours & bubs blood pressure & heart rate if it goes on too long .. Good luck xx
