Courtcoop: yes our friend took Lunesta and his wife found him a couple of nights walking in the house in the middle of the night, he had no memory of it and did not have this problem with Ambien. Ambien generally gave me a buzz when I took it at night, I would feel euphoric (but no sleepwalking) - I do not have this side effect with Ambien CR. I guess one needs to be careful with all of these sleeping pills!
Ecologic... slept walked on lunesta? I have only heard that with Ambien.
my firend took Ambien and ended up taking his car out after going to sleep and going to a bar and then smashing his car into a tree and woke up in jail. I was the last to talk to him before he fell asleep that night...he remembered nothing at all.
I was already taking 10 mg of Ambien before getting pregnant and I stayed on it after getting pregnant. I would take 1/2 at bedtime and 1/2 whenever I would wake up in the middle of the night, But I had a really hard time falling back asleep. Fairly soon my Ob-gyn switched me to Ambien CR 12 mg and this worked quite well (1/2 at night and 1/2 in the middle of the night) - I definitively prefer Ambien CR to regular Ambien.
PS: be careful if you try to switch to Lunesta, a friend of mine did that and he started to sleepwalk!!
I haven't sleeped more than 2 and a half hours a night in 16wks nothinghas helped my Dr. said it is the hormones and I will eventually sleep letshope so I am exhusted
LUNESTA!!! Although i have not taken it since being prego ...if your DR ok'd ambien then Lunesta is ok as well. It works MUCH better...i hated Ambien.
I'm having a slightly different problem. I'm exhausted by bedtime but when I sleep, I'm up after 4-5 hours. After that I just toss and turn in the bed all night. Then I end up having to take a 2-3 hour nap during the day. But even when I skip the nap, I still don't sleep well. I thought it was just because I worked 3rd shift for years but I don't know. I don't have any helpful suggestions though. Sorry.
