labor???

Thiss is my first baby, & I'm 36 weeks and 2 days. I'm already 2cm dilated and I've had some contractions and period like cramps. Im pretty sure i lost my mucus plug because I'm already dilateing and I've had snot looking stuff when i wipe. but my tools aren't hard (tmi) like they use to its kinda like having the runs just not really runny. i heard by that it helps your body get ready for labor. how long do i have?

I know every pregnancy is different and every women is different. the way my ob is talking that i could go anytime now, i know the wait is miserable.

Hi! I really don't think your in labor.  Loosing your mucus plug doesn't cause dialation. There is no definate way to tell when your baby will come. You can be 2cm for the longest or even 4cm and not go into labor, even with contractions. I've been in labor for a week and im at 3 cm with contractions but ive been this way for a while now.

You could still have a while. I've experienced the same thing for a little over a week now and I'm 39 weeks 1 day. There is still no way to tell when labor will start. Sorry I wish I could give us both good news on this topic! I'm so ready.
