Baby less active

I am 38 weeks 6 days pregnant and today I haven't felt him move much at all. He's normally very active in the early morning and late evening. I've been having contractions pretty regular the past couple days but they've never affected his movement. Today the contractions are spaced out so im kind of confused, I've drunk a couple cups of tea to see if it will spark him up a bit but so far nothing like the norm just slight squirming. Am I over reacting or could this be something I need to go in for?

I wouldn't be surprised if that was due to stress because you were so worried. Glad everything was ok :)

Thanks ladies! I did go in and baby was fine but my BP was a little on the high side which is unusual for me so they monitored him and I for about an hour and half and everything was well. Im supposed to follow up on Wednesday with my doctor.

I'm 8 wks with baby 6 . I'm not yet with this one feeling anything but have been thru it 5 other times and high risk dr and midwife always said if ypu feel at least ten movements throughout the day. So mske sure your feeling even slught movements. Or id mention it to your dr. Not to worry you. But no movement could be asign of distress.let us know good luck. Chances are hes ok.but watch how many movements

I had the same worries a couple of weeks ago. I went in to the hospital and they put me on one of those doppler machines and everything was perfect :). Baby was actually moving regularly,  I had just gotten so used to it I couldn't feel it. If you feel like you need to go in then go, only you know your baby and their patterns.  But chances are everything is perfect and he's just having a lazy day. Xxx
