latest u/s at 25.5 weeks :)

well ladies...im still having a girl...LOL..i had the same tech as last time and he checked for me again and was like "yup no boy parts grew" .....so im really having a girl....they checked my cervix and it's still holding 2.8...the doc says that it's stable at this point which is good...a huge relief....im still not to be doing much more then i have to...i was to drink lots of water and make sure to keep moving my feet and legs...but because of my cervix being on the short end i cant walk very much...its intresting but whatever ive been doing has been working so im not changing a thing

the baby weighed in at 2.1 pounds and im only going on 26 weeks...they said she is in the 72% percentile and this is great...goes to show they are now saying she's going to be a big baby...because of this at this point the longst i will be preg is 39 weeks but as the doc explained to me anything could change and it could be sooner...their best guess at this appt is 37-39 weeks but we are trying to keep her in as long as possible but she already looks squished in there...poor thing

next u/s is july 19 and then from there i think i start going every 2 weeks and around 32 or 34 weeks they will start doing weekly monitoring for contractions...i know once i hit 32 weeks its going to fly....im kinda feeling like this baby is coming early....she may even be born rigth around my bday (sept 3)...i cant wait to see her weight next time and how much she has grown

also...now that my fiance was with for this appt..i really its starting to hit him that this baby is coming soon...he's excited but i think he's starting to realize the amount of work that needs to get done....and the fact that my doc told me in front of him she doesnt want me doing more then i have ot right now..we need to keep the cervix stable

alright...questoin from today's appt...my family living in pa and im in nc...every 4th of july they do a family picnic and i would really like to get there this year to see my family and i miss my son (he's been there for a week now)...do you think it would be safe for me to go to pa (i would be a passenger) if we stopped about every 2 hours to let me out to walk around (im on heparin for a known blood clotting disorder)....honest opinions please...im torn on what to do

Not sure in PA where you are going - but if it is in the Bucks/Montgomery County areas - Abington Memorial is a great hospital with a level 3 NICU - not that you would need it... but it might be wise to get some information on hospitals just in case... I am high risk and have been on bedrest since 24 weeks - I am 35 now.  I went down the beach this weekend to do my bedrest there.. I checked out the local hosptials, saved their numbers on my cell and put their address in my GPS - JUST IN CASE... Good Luck!

I traveled by air with both pregnancies at around 24-26 weeks...  first time was because my dad died and I had to go to PA for his funeral...  the second time was just to visit family in MT....  I had no problems either time...  and I have had 2 miscarriages,  so my first pegnancy I was pretty nervous about the travel on top of the stress of my dad dying,  but all was fine-  I rented a doppler so I could hear the baby's heart, etc...  but I did check with my doc before each trip...

and it is good to stop and move around for sure.

Congrats on the great news! Glad to hear your little girl is doing super!

If your OB is fine with you traveling then go! Just remember you might be very umcomfortable though!

Thanks for the update!

GO!  You're still early enough in your pregnancy to travel.  Just stop every hour or so and stretch your bones along the way...what normally is an 8-10hr trip may take 12-14hrs.  Unless your dr advises against it, I would go.

Happy to hear everything is staying the same and baby is doing good!     Honestly I wouldn't risk taking the car trip but that's just me.   Good luck with your decision.

I'm glad things are going so well. I really don't know about your car trip. I wouldn't do it without consulting your Dr.
