Not sure in PA where you are going - but if it is in the Bucks/Montgomery County areas - Abington Memorial is a great hospital with a level 3 NICU - not that you would need it... but it might be wise to get some information on hospitals just in case... I am high risk and have been on bedrest since 24 weeks - I am 35 now. I went down the beach this weekend to do my bedrest there.. I checked out the local hosptials, saved their numbers on my cell and put their address in my GPS - JUST IN CASE... Good Luck!
thank you everybody....im going to PA next week...DF is gonna have to deal with the trip taking longer but he says he's ok with it...im gonna be surprising my dad who is super bummed i missed fathers day and his bday (this sunday) and is convinced i wont be there for the 4th either...i cant wait to see him smile...i also miss my son so i cant wait to see his face when he sees how much mommy has grown since he left
Brown Eyed Gurl ---- yay!!! you are back!!!!! miss you on these forums...cant wait to see the bows...i cant wait to have hair to play with and put in the bows...i cant believe its actually a girl :)
awe tell her Aunt Brandi has made her lots of hair bows just gotta get em in the mail LOL
I traveled by air with both pregnancies at around 24-26 weeks... first time was because my dad died and I had to go to PA for his funeral... the second time was just to visit family in MT.... I had no problems either time... and I have had 2 miscarriages, so my first pegnancy I was pretty nervous about the travel on top of the stress of my dad dying, but all was fine- I rented a doppler so I could hear the baby's heart, etc... but I did check with my doc before each trip...
and it is good to stop and move around for sure.
Congrats on the great news! Glad to hear your little girl is doing super!
If your OB is fine with you traveling then go! Just remember you might be very umcomfortable though!
Thanks for the update!
GO! You're still early enough in your pregnancy to travel. Just stop every hour or so and stretch your bones along the way...what normally is an 8-10hr trip may take 12-14hrs. Unless your dr advises against it, I would go.
Happy to hear everything is staying the same and baby is doing good! Honestly I wouldn't risk taking the car trip but that's just me. Good luck with your decision.
I'm glad things are going so well. I really don't know about your car trip. I wouldn't do it without consulting your Dr.
