I am on my fifth child at 40 years old...with my fourth i got induced and i will say my pain was much stronger than the prev 3 kids that i done on my own...i am against being induced it also puts the baby in more stress.

I was induced with my last pregnacy and 27 hours later I had a csection. I had an epidural and still felt my minute apart contractions. I think my body just wasn't ready yet. But I know many girls who did fine being induced id just not suggest it unless really needed also now with my 2nd baby I have to have another section so no good. All in all though I have a beautiful amazing little girl and worth every second of the pain and then some

It isn't the intervention that hurts. it is when those interventions kick in to your bodyand the cervix begins to dilate, contractions begin and those things no women is prepared for it. Also interventions do make the process more painful than of you were to go into labor on your own. Asking for an epidural is
not a crime. Just remember you are in control.  Tell the nurses what you need when you need it and it'll all be ok. Just remember to focus on your end result; Astrid :-)

Relax and congratulations
