Need tips to help me dilate!

My doc is all for inducing me at 39 weeks,  me being 37 weeks right now and my cervix has not done a thing !! he told me I need to dilate at least a lil so my labor would go along easier I was just wondering does walking really help?  What else I can try?

Don't listen to the doc. My cervix hadn't done anything with my second at that point either. I had him at 39wks 4days naturally. Inducing shows a risk to both mother and baby as well as increases your risk of c-section and the baby doesn't get the anti-bodies it should then from not passing through the birth canal. If there's no real medical reason refuse. I did.

I think it's more important to have your cervix soften,  because dilation can change in a matter of hours!
Did you look into evening primrose oil?
I'm taking it orally and vaginally and love it!
I'm also taking it for two weeks and my cervix is really soft since then!
Google it,  there are many sites and forums on that subject.  Good luck momma!
