low iron

Does anybody was diagnosed with low iron in the beginning of the third trimester? What do you know/did your doctor say about how dangerous it is for your developing baby? If they didn't run my blood for at least 2-3 months, I am wondering when that happened and how bad was it that the baby didn't get enough of iron for all that time... I want feeling all tired and anemic but they prescribed like 110mg of iron in supplement, so I am assuming now it's very low. :(

I was diagnosed with low iron/anemia and the Dr just prescribed me daily iron pills and they help level my iron at its correct rate,  that's all they gave me hope I helped :)

Very common and nothing to be concerned about as long as it's been addressed; your baby did not go w out iron. You were the one who was deprived. Our babies always take all the nutrients they need from our bodies. They get priority.  I have had chronic anemia both un pregnant and pregnant and the complications are only symptomatic and have no long term consequences once the deficiency is addressed. Take care.
