I was measuring in the high high end of amniotic fluid. I was up 37 lbs about 7 1/2 months in and since losing water and swelling, I'm 3 days from my due date and my total gain is 31 lbs. I lost 6 lbs in 6 days a few weeks ago just by urinating out excess fluids. It may just be swelling. If you're not overeating, it's likely not fat gain.
They typically test for Gestational Diabetes at about 26-28 weeks....Maybe ask Dr. If you should have test early?
Just because we get pregnant does not me us former big girls get to revert to eating fast food, processed foods, ice cream, sweets, or drink milk tol the cow comes home....
To grow a healthy baby, you need to only consume 350-500 extra calories each day. That equals a Peanut Butter Sandwhich and 8 Oz. Milk.
If you used a diet App to loose weight, start using again....You can set most calorie counters to "Maintenance" count and then allow yourself to go over thst number by 300-500 each day.
I lost 130 lbs. 10 years ago. Was back up 20 at preg. start. Gained 20-25 by 28 weeks. Have Gest. Diabetes now and have cut our all the sugar and unhealthy processed carbs....am now 34 Weeks and only gained 2 more lbs. Dr. says to do all I mentioned above, and that the baby will grow by using my fat stores in remainder of pregnancy....my face and legs are actually looking slimmer!
They say it's okay to gain 20-30 during preg and anything more is "fat" and will stay on your body til you work it off
I'm at the end and gained 46 pounds it's depressing but I'm working hard after the baby to get back fine
Thanks ladies! That is exactly what I was thinking. I could eat just vegetables and still gain every week! It just stinks that I did all the work to lose it and it so easily comes back on...
I'm 28 weeks and gained 38pounds
Yes I'm I'm the same boat lost 90 lbs then got pregnant and have been gaining like crazy! I'm at 33 weeks and have gained almost 40lbs. My midwife tells me it's because my body was shocked from weight loss and put itself into starvation mode to try and support the baby. Good luck
12-14 weeks not 16-18 weeks!
