mastitis wont go away

A week ago today i was diagnosed with mastitis. I've taken doxycicline since then and have two days left.  I don't feel any different. I' still ache all over especially my knees and writsts, my fingers are numb, I'm running low grade fever, very tired. I'm still trying to dry up my breasts. I've also developed a chest cold or sinus infection or something like that.  I feel awful. My baby is two weeks old and i feel i cant take good care of him.  i don't thing the antibiotics are helping. Could it be MRSA?  Any thoughts.

You can also try taking high dose vitamin c.  My sister's midwife swears by this.  How you do this is you take one vitamin C tablet (500 mg or 1000 mg) every 4 hours exactly the same way you'd take an antibiotic.

Recovery from mastitis is also really important that you rest.  Go to bed (with your baby next to you).

Cabbage leaf over the spot can also help the pain. (or warm most compress).

Hope you feel better soon.
