Thanks! No results as of yet. Its a 12 business day wait. The accuracy for Maternit21 Plus is 99.3 vs an amneo which us 99.6 . I think that it is great that they are making it available but it is really just so upsetting that insurance is not covering it. I will let everyone know how it turns out..... patiently waiting....
It's a new test, so most people probably aren't even offered it yet and many probably decline it because of the cost since insurance won't cover it. (as it is so new) From what I have read in the past though it has a pretty significant accuracy rate. The only reason I had even read about it is because of the concern that it will lead to more women to abort since it can be done earlier on. I hate that people want to limit access to a test that is pretty much non-invasive and risk free. So many women just want to be prepared and have a plan in place for their and their child's future needs and if there is a less risky test than a cvs or amnio I am all for it.
Anyway, good luck, I hope everything works out for you.
just read up on it, I dont think we have that test here yet (australia) shame as it sounds excellent!!
I havent heard of it at all, would be interested if you could shed some light on it and how you do it etc, also odds of false reading etc, thanks :)
I can't believe no one heard of this screening!
Oh my odds were 1:5 . I'm 37 first child.
