mucus

I am almost 37 weeks with my second child and am having alot of  thick snotty discharge for the past few days should I worry?  I didn't have this with my first please help

The mucous plug is thick column of mucous which sits in the cervix and blocks off the entry of bacteria which could otherwise track their way into the uterus. The mucous plug is essentially a collection of thick cervical mucous which builds up to form a very effective protective plug or stopper.

I agree with Amy and Angela. What cc said is correct however if it stringy like snot that's most likely the mucus plug.

I agree with amy. I'm on baby 6!! And certainly sounds to me like your mucus plug.good luck

It could also be your mucus plug.

I dont think you should worry i had sooo much discharge couple of week back it was leaking through my nickers it was terrible. The white discharge stuff is normal for pregnant people to getany time
