You might not be able to 'get aout of bed without them' because that's how you've been living for so long. I used to be on eprcocet for YEARS from migraines, and it became a way of life for me. Eventually, with a doctors help, I went off of all narcotics, and slowly my migraines went away. There are so many pain therapies out there, if you are open to them, you may find that one or some will work for you. Pain managemnt, Medical Hypnosis, Acupuncture, etc. Do some research. See a holistic doctor and a western Pain management doctor. If it was me, I would not take any narcotics while pregnant. Especially at an advance material age. Good luck!
Just because a vicodine is okay to take in moderation for a period of time during pg, does not mean it is safe for your baby to take day and night for your entire pg. It is a hightly addictive narcotic, and I have known three people who have died from vicodine addiction. Why would you want to do that to you bab?? If you having takin it for 7 years, you yourself are probably addicted. Why would you want to pass that on to your baby??
I understand where you're coming from. I have some medication issues that I had to clear w/all of my doctors who take care of me before I got pregnant (am epileptic & have a fused neck), but the best advice is to talk to your doctor. Surprisingly, many scheduled narcotics are for some reason class b drugs; but, it's something definitely to discuss w/your doctor. Talk also to the doctor who prescribed the medication (my pharmacist husband adds this part) - hope this helps!
Vicodine is an opiate... it is like giving your baby heroin..
I'm not judging you.. I'm just saying you really need to make healthy choices here..
I really do wish you luck in this and hope you find another way.
thank you and congrats to you also....what dr. will decide that???gyno?i also have a scrpt to see a genetic dr.???why i have nothing in family,is this cause of meds???
Congragulations on your pregnancy. I am 38 weeks pregnant. Right before I was pregnant I was getting ready to have surgery due to a condition that was putting me at risk for a stroke. I was taking strong medication as well and without it I was truly miserable. I knew that I could not have the surgery and I really needed it. The doctor said I needed it within the next month but my pregnancy prevented me from getting it. I prayed alot and I have been relieved for nine months. I have not had the pain throughout my whole pregnancy, I am so blessed. Even though you are pregnant, there is a good chance you will still be able to take your medication. The doctor will look at the medicine and it's neccessity. I would not worry because doctors will allow you to continue your medication in many cases. God Bless.
I think you need to find an alternative.. you will cause your unborn child to be addicted to vicodine.. this is serious..
best of luck to you!!
