Hi, I was also induced with pitocin, my labour took 2 and a half hrs from start to finish! I think it just depends how well your body responds to the drug. Good luck I'm sure you will do very well.
I don't have any personal experience with cervidil for inducing labor, but it is suppose to help "ripen" your cervix and get it ready for labor. I have been induced before, though, but just with pitocin (and having my water broken later on). I am now two days away from being induced again (I go in on Thursday), and I assume they'll do the same again. I was also about 2-3 cm at my last appointment, but I'lll be going back in on Wednesday to be checked again. With my first one, if I remember correctly, I was only about 1 1/2 cm, and it took the whole day to dilate before giving birth in the afternoon. We'll see how long it takes this time... Best of luck tomorrow!
