A small organ inside your right side abdomen that stores bile. If I eat anything greasy I have horrible pain in my stomach. Not like that for everyone but that my main issue.  It also will flare up out of nowhere at least a few times a month. Makes life horrible.

what is gall bladder?

I'll be having my gall bladder removed at the same time. Long story but I've needed it out but since I can control attacks with my diet (kinda) I'd rather wait till after baby born to have that surgery. Pregnancy was risky enough without adding to it.

Why would you have to wait a couple weeks after having your baby to have your tubes tied? I'm prego with #2 and @ 36 he was unexpected we are happy about him just wasn't expecting to have a baby
(We became grandparents in Jan) the day after I have my baby the Dr is doing the procedure for my tubal. She said its best to do it right away.so everything is still up and visible. I'll go home the next day.

Thats what I keep thinking about.  I've had all my kids with no c section and Dr said no reason to think I'd need one this time around either. So I'd need tubal ligation done a few weeks later. I have had laparoscopic surgery done before and both times that blew. Took me a few weeks to get back to normal.  Don't know if tubal would be like that but if its anything close I just don't see me doing it.

A vasectomy is way less invasive, it's very safe and very effective (as long as you follow instructions for afterwards). I'd never have such an invasive procedure when I can have my partner go in for a simple procedure and home a couple hours later. Plus it's reversible if we ever changed our minds, with a pretty good success rate. A tubal ligation would only ever be an option in my opinion if I was going to be having a c-section anyway and would already be opened up. Otherwise - no way.

Ya know I keep going back and forth on doing it. Today that's how I'm feeling,  but last week I was begging my husband to have a vasectomy. I'm having my 5th and I'm honestly surprised I have that many. Every pregnancy has been horrible for me. The Dr jokes that I have the reproductive system of a 20 yr old but the tolerance to pregnancy of a 60 yr old. I just know I can't do it again so I'm looking at all my options.

She had the procedure done in the office with no drugs and she said she felt everything.  Very painful.  Had pain for months. Dr said it worked tho and all was blocked.  Nope, had a baby two years after getting coils in. After baby born still had non stop pain. Had a few laparoscopic surgeries cuz Drs thought maybe cysts or endometriosis. Never really got an answer, just tons of painkillers. Then one broke inside her body. Ended up with a hysterectomy at 35. Now she's dealing with menopause and only 37. Really not trying to scare u, I've heard good and bad and I know there's pros and cons to everything. I just wouldn't jump into anything.  Heck I was even going to get my tubes tied, signed papers and everything then some ladies on here started talking about post tubal ligation syndrome. ...scared the poo outta me. But I've done my research now and I'm about 95% sure I'll go thru with it. I have a few more weeks to decide.

Did you research that procedure yet? I would recommend doing that, it sounds pretty risky. I'd talk to Dr too. There are other options out there. My bff had it done but I don't want to scare you with her story. I would just encourage you to look up the pros and cons.
