please help

i have been using pcp on and off throughout this pregnancy and my doctor said noticed the drugs in my system at my 36 week check up. it was a high level.I know i should have not smoked but i did it anyways and the people i live with smoked it 24/7 so it was hard to say no. Anyways i am due aug 2-6 and the drugs are still in my system, is there anyway i can clean my system out? i have already stop smoking and gradually remove myself away from the smoke when it is being used in thee home any other recommendations?  Please i want to bring my child home after delivery.

groan, i am not trying to be judgemental, but u have to think about the baby, do u think u should take the baby to that house were people are smoking pcp.. heck they r still smoking it around u while ur trying to qiut.. i bet they will give u the oppurtunity to be the best mom ifu signed urself in rehab and then maybe move into a shelter until u can afford the oppurtunity for a better living environment

There is no way to clear this out of your system.  I am not here to judge you, but please get yourself into treatment.  YOu have taken the first step and quit, but now you need to stay off of it. Chances are your baby won't leave the hospital for quite awhile anyway. If you have used regularly throughout your pregnancy, it is almost certainly addicted and will need a fair amount of medical attention.  If they do take your baby, you can get him/her back if you get yourself together, get treatment and move into a safe place free of drugs.   I see this every single day.  I see women just like you struggling with addiction, but they are able to get clean....for their babies and themselves.  There is an addiction community here at MedHelp and I know they would welcome you and try to help support you.  Good luck to you.  You can't change the past, but you can change your and your babies future.

Not sure about how long it takes to get them out of your system, but I think the bigger problem is bring your baby home to a house that smokes this 24/7 you can't just leave the room with the baby and think it wont affect him or her, also If the dr noticed this then I am sure that child services will be notified before the baby goes home, I think your best bet is to work with the dr and get yourself into rehab and a new place to live and have a new start for you and your baby, you have a better chance for you and your little one if you work with the system then not, best of luck getting clean and I will say a paryer for you and your little one, julia
