Just curious, are you saving the milk? Freezing it or something?
Do not pump! I have three boys and while your breast make leak and be sore, pumping stimulates uterine contractions and will send you into labor. Thats how I went into labor with my first when I was over due. Plus your losing the "liquid gold" which is essential to your newborn. Try hot compresses to ease your discomfort as well as sleeping in a comfortable bra with nursing pads to absorb the fluid. Good luck.
I agree with above poster.. There is the risk of prem labour but also that first early milk is tailor made for your baby hun... To ease the discomfort run the showerhead on them when in the shower n gently rub downwards.. Also cabbage leaves that have been refrigerated are great for inflammation... Hth x
Do not pump. I explained why in your other post.
The only concern is premature labour, you will keep on producing colostrum until a week after baby is born (give or take couple days) so don't worry about running out lol iv heard of people pumping colostrum and saving it for a time when baby is poorly (good idea!) Also I really don't think nipple stimulation would put you into labour unless your body is absolutely ready but I would still talk to midwife x
Can I just say 100% that you are not going to 'use up' your colostrum by expressing now it will keep coming until your baby is around a week old and your milk comes in
This is the fourth post that you've put on various forums regarding this. All with loads of answers. I think you should maybe talk to a doctor or midwife as I worry that you're stressing too much. You're obviously not satisfied with the answers on here. I think a professional opinion would be the best next step for you. Good luck :-)
