The class I took also said that if it's a constant feeling rather then just coming and going, you should also seek treatment.  As Tricia said, you don't have to feel that way, help is available.  I hope you feel better soon.

There's big difference between post-partum blues and post-partum depression. As mamom15 said, if it lasts more than a few weeks, go see your doctor. You shouldn't have to put up with that feeling - I had it with all three kids and it's an awful experience. I took zoloft after the last two, and it was so helpful. When did you have your baby?

Good luck,
Tricia

Hi Betty

I went for a class on Friday where I was told that if it lasts over 2 weeks please reach out for medical help.  Good luck!

Hi,

it can last a few days or a few weeks....

You are not alone in this.  Post partum depression is very common. You need to reach out to get help.  You can get through this.  Please call your doctor and let them know how you're feeling.... they can help...  talk to your partner also about how you're feeling and that you need help.... and love and support.
