Hi; I'm sorry for your loss. I don't know if you believe in prayer or Jesus Christ, but I will pray for you & your husband to make it through your grief.

I started the pill a month before my wedding and all was fine. I did go off the pill 3 months before we started trying to conceive, to let it all clear out of my system. Got pregnant with our first baby, the first month we started trying. You may want to discuss the best options for you with your ob/gyn though. Congratulations on your wedding and best wishes!

My sister was on the pill and got pregnant with both of her children the first month off of the pill.
If you only have one month before your wedding, the pill might not be the best choice right now---It sometimes takes a few months to figure out which pill/dosage you need.  If you do go on the pill, you might want to use a back up method also for the first couple of months.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding.  There are pro's and con's to all the different birth control methods, and really, the best thing is to discuss it with your dr.  I will tell you that in most cases, the pill is fine, and shouldn't delay your ability to have kids when you are ready.  Most dr.s tell you to go off of it about 3 months before you are going to try to conceive.  But, depending on your personal health, etc. the best form of bc differs from woman to woman.  Good luck to you.
