prenatal testing and insurance coverage USA

Hi ladies!  I'm 35 (almost 36) and 5 weeks pregnant with our third.  This was not planned (I had my tubes blocked  3 years ago) and I'm concerned that my age can affect the baby genetically.  I know there are a lot of new blood tests out there that can detect for Downs etc.  Can you please tell me of any tests you know of that I should request and if it was covered by employer insurance or not?  I have BCBS of Florida.  Thanks!

Im in California I took the free state blood work exam that is combined with ultrasound those tests are known to have alot of false positives.  I am 38 yrs with my 3rd so I opted for the amniocentesis its the most accurate for chromosomal disorders. Do some research there are many options. Enjoy your pregnancy!

The Harmony or materniT-21 screen for DS and other chromosomal abnormalities. The materniT-21 also gives you the gender as early as 10w. I'm in California but it's sort of up to each insurance company.  From what I understand, you won't be have to pay more than $200 out of pocket if anything at all.
