reading a transvaginal doppler ultrasound

i just had a vaginal ultrasound.  At the bottom it saysGA;  6w2d; I assume that is gestational age, 6 weeks, two days.  Then it says DVA 95%...what does that mean?  They detected a fetal pole, thought they saw a heartbeat but could not hear it.  I had a miscarriage 3 years ago and am 42...scared to death...help.

Thanks for the research! I spent a few hours on the web too, I think you're right in that it must me some equipment data. If it had to do with the fetal reading it should have come up. Ahhh.... but you have my same condition... "I need to know, you know."  Drop a post though, it will save me some late night computer time . LOL  Don't know what you are going in for, but I hope the results are healthy. Take care.

I have been scouring the web looking for info on this. I have the "need to know" bug, lol.  From what I can see it is a video graphic adapter, something to do with video output. I have an u/s scheduled for today (not pregnant). If it is on mine, I'll ask while I'm there.

I wish I knew this too, I tried to look it up in the online med journals and none of the citations really made it clear? I'm 40 and at 11 weeks now, but had my trans vag ultrasound at 10wks, my DVA said 80%. Everything measured where it should (crown to rump) and all the limbs were there and we saw my little angles's heart thumping away :)

Here's some other genral info that I found:  (http://www.ob-ultrasound.net/)
The gestational sac can be visualized as early as four and a half weeks of gestation and the yolk sac at about five weeks. The embryo can be observed and measured by about five and a half weeks. Ultrasound can also very importantly confirm the site of the pregnancy is within the cavity of the uterus.

A visible heartbeat could be seen and detectable by pulsed doppler ultrasound by about 6 weeks and is usually clearly depictable by 7 weeks. If this is observed, the probability of a continued pregnancy is better than 95 percent!

Good luck, with your baby :) At 35 plus women are so ready in every way to raise such a happy family, it's too bad all the age stress is thrown in there. I know I'm way too stressed about my pregnancy and it just can't be good for the baby.
