reverse tubal

I am almost 37 years old and my husband and I are considering having another child. I have had my tubal done since 1996. What are the chances of getting pregnant after a reverse tubal. Do you know about how much the cost is to get this done?

I'm planning on getting a reversal in January or February. I think the statistics as far as success depend on many factors, such as your age, any other fertility issues, etc. Definately do research on your doctors. I've narrowed it down to two doctors - one in Mexico and one in North Carolina. I'm going with the one in Mexico for two reasons: 1) every review I've read from women who have gone to him is excellent. I've personally contacted several of them, and they rave about how wonderful he is, his staff is great, the hospital is excellent, etc. His success rates are good, also; and 2) it is about half as much as in the U.S. The place in North Carolina comes to about $6300 before travel expenses. The doctor in Mexico is going to be about $3000 for the surgery, and about $800 for travel. If you haven't had your surgery by the time I get mine, I'll keep you updated about my experience, if you'd like.

Hi, I also had my tubes tied in 1996. I had the procedure reversed in 2008 and it cost me around $10,000, but I know it can be done for less in other areas. I had a tubal pregnancy which caused my right tube to become blocked soon after the reversal, and then had two early miscarriages after that. But, I am now 18 weeks pregnant. So, although it was a tough year or so for me, I am so glad I had it done and can't wait to have my baby girl!
