If a paternity DNA TEST is done in the courts, they AUTOMATICALLY send the Results to Vital Records and change the baby name. Save yourself the stress, Drama and anxiety by given the baby the Father surname.
Thanks so much for the information it's good to know :)
No it doesnt matter what last name u give the baby. It wont effect anything to do with paternity rights if things where to change between u and the father in the future. My 3yr old daughter has my ex's last name and the only thing that is confusing is that she doesnt yet understand we dont have the same last names. But it doesnt effect anything when it comes to parental rights. You dont even have to give the baby a last name of ypu or your partner. You can litterally give them any name u desire and it wont matter. My brother gave his son a completely diffrent last name then both him and his gf because he doesnt want to carry on our fathers last name and he plans on getting his own last name changed to Moore (after our grandfather) soon and he wanted his kids to jave that last name.. So when his son was born he gave his son the last name Moore. So yeh, it wont effect anything.
