I used a Moby for my first. My second one hated it. Now I'm pregnant again & I'm looking at other options. With 2 young kids I can't take the time to mess around with wrapping & adjusting. I think I'd rather have an ergobaby or something along those lines.
The baby katan. I want a wrap style for when she's a newborn. Then something else later on.
Moby is super difficult to use in public. Especially when you live somewhere rainy. Its soooo long and drags on the ground while you wrap it. I love my ergo baby!
Another consideration is nursing...I knew you can nurse in a Maya....that's another one I was looking at...
I was so excited to use my Moby....I wanted one so bad, but after using it for 6 weeks, I do not like it. Its very inconvenient to wrap, tuck, cross, stuff baby in, & pull up the fabric. You have to wrap it just right or it doesn't feel comfortable and it loosens up after a while & baby is sagging. My baby is not patient enough to wait the time it takes to wrap it around me & it hurts my back. Feels like I'm pregnant again & makes me slouch. Thought it would be good to use while doing house chores, but I always need to keep one hand on my son cause he doesn't feel 100% secure in the Moby.
I have ordered an ErgoBaby 360 & really look forward to using that instead. At least I won't need to fuss with 50ft of fabric to wear my baby.
I love my Moby! I've also heard great things about the ka'tan. the difference is that.the Moby is knit so it stretches while the ka'tan is woven so it doesn't
