Just had 12 week ultrasound!

I just got home from my 12 week ultrasound, had 3-d ultrasound as well as the normal one.   he drew blood for chromazone screening...

dr. said everything looked good, he measured the baby's neck (i guess with downsyndrome the neck is elongated sometimes) neck looked good, everything looked good, measurements were right on.
(which i was worried about slightly, as previous ultrasounds kept showing 1 week smaller than my dates -  today's measurement was exact.  11 weeks 5 days)

thats is sooo cool! what a cute lil peanut!, im jealous.... I want a 3D..lol we go on the 29th for our 18wk U/S ...cant wait ...we hopefully will get confirmation it a lil boy! or girl!

wait, 12cms must be sac size because normal length for 12 weeks is about 5.4 cm

sorry, that link didn't work, here it is again, AND - i just saw on the ultrasound print out, the measurement, almost 12cm  !!!!  OMG, i looked at 12 cm on a ruler, thats HUGE, i imagined it 1/2 that size... wow.  No wonder why i can't close my jeans.

yes, i still am due May 28th.  that's my due date according to my LMP, earlier when i was measuring a week behing my obgyn didn't change my due date, she kept it according to LMP.

jnett- yes the 3-d was cool, but i didn't see him/her moving in the 3-d, what he did was, it was the same ultrasound machine, he did a 2D ultrasound, we saw it moving all around, bouncing...  then when he took still pictures, he'd then convert them to 3-D

everyone else--- thanks for your congrats!  I feel so happy and so lucky, and so content. its funny, it looks so fragile and small, but the 2-d ultrasound he also took, the baby looks big and strong.  here's the link for that one.

That's so great!  Was the 3-D ultrasound cool?

I'm glad to hear that your pregnancy measurements "caught up".  Mine were 1 week behind at my first ultrasound, and seem to have caught up a few days during this last time, too.  Sometimes I wonder if the fetus is just curled up funny...?
