spinal block?!?!

is a spinalblock safe? im so worried about having a reaction to it.

thankyou ladies! i had a epidural with my first and itjust made my legs warm... i could still move them and feel more than i thought i sshould. this time im getting a spinal and having a c section.

The anaesthetist who does the block should be able to tell you the risk vs benefits.

Just do your research on it if you're worried. Like anything there is always a possibility of risk/side effects,  but it's pretty low and/or side effects minimum. I've had two epidurals and didn't have any side effects from either. The only problem I had was the first one only went to one side of my body so I could still feel everything on one side. That was more due to my position when they administered it than the medication. Line I said do research from reputable sources and don't be afraid to ask lots of questions:)

I had a spinal block after the birth of my 4th daughter, the really only side affect I had was a headache, for a few days or might of been a wk.But not sure if it had anything to do with the spinal block.I think it was more due to exhaustion.
