I know someone who feel pregnant at 48 the docs said there was a small chance she would carry full term.. she delivered a healthy baby boy. I believe if you are in good health, & take extra good care of your self you should be fine if its meant to be its meant to be :) congrats!! X

Hi there I know what you mean with uk docs, definately no support . You;d think theyd give you a blood test . After my recent ivf I made an appointment with the nurse practitioner. She was lovely and arranged beta test  and follow up and phoned me at home after working hours so didnt have to get results at work. Have you got one at your surgery? Doctors wouldnt have anything to do with me because of ivf and age.    If a man fathers a child at the same age everyone pats them on the back and congrayulates their verility. but it is still tabboo in our culture. we are treated as if there is something wrong with us. Sorry for having a grumble Lol : ) You can also get private blood tests at private hospitals but some need a referel and is very expensive. Hope everything is going well

Debbie, have you had blood work done at all? Your doctor should be able to give you your beta numbers atleast.l would totally not want to wait another 3 wks to hear any news. I think that *****

Yes it has  all happened naturally.  8 weeks now
We don't get looked after like you do here in the uk .   I saw my doctor this week and just got told to see the midwife in 3 weeks so feeling a bit on my own with this .

that is amazing and this happened naturally? I am hoping it was a good egg but it seems that usually is not the case when someone near 50 gets pregnant. I dont want to scare you but get some blood work done and make sure youre numbers are doubling and you should see a heartbeat at around 7 weeks. Keep us informed on this and good luck
