Can't find heartbeart on home doppler.

I'm 12 weeks 4days and tried to find the heartbeat tonight with no avail. I listened a few days ago and found it and I know sometimes baby can be far back and so the home ones dont pick it up easy but after a missed miscarriage at 18 weeks...I thought this would help ease my worries but here I am not sleeping and frightened it is happening all over again.

So my question is have you heard the heartbeat one day and not and then heard it again?
I need some positive support right now. ♡

I had this happen at the OB's office with this pregnancy & my previous one. My daughter liked to "hide" where it wasn't possible to pick it up on the Doppler device so I was sent for an ultrasound. With this pregnancy, the placenta was in front of the baby & made it difficult to hear, let alone get a rate. Once again, I was given an ultrasound.
It is not unusual for this to occur, so try not to stress about it.

My OBGYN said to never use those in fear of that happening BUT if you should to wait till around 25 weeks. I wouldn't worry, easier said then done I know but keep in mind it's too early.
