They generally only do growth scans late in pregnancy if they think bub is measuring big. I had one at 37 weeks.

In the future if you don't click with your Dr. find another. Fortunately I get to see my baby. Once a month

I only had one, too... And with my first I didn't really like my Dr either, I knew he just didn't care and it messed me up, the good news is, those Drs don't usually deliver the baby... The ones that do are the usually the nicest people... And if they aren't you can request somebody else (that's what I did)

It seems to differ from one Dr to the next and also with different insurances. I'm almost 33wks and I've had 3 scheduled plus 1 they did because they were having problems finding my son's heartbeat with the monitor. I may get one more before my EDD because he was breech during my ultrasound a week ago but I may not because they can also check position without it. So I say ask at your next appointment.

They usually do only one ultrasound during the whole pregnancy unless you have some medical issues or postdate pregnancy.
