weight gain

I am 14 weeks and so disappointed in my weight gain. Before I found out I was pregnant,  I lost 22lbs. I have gained 12. My first pregnancy,  I delivered 9 lbs 11oz.
I am plus size woman but healthy and don't want any complications.  Any advice on what you've done to maintain weight to reduce too much weight gain? Someone tell I am not the only one out there.
Thanks.

Thank you all for the encouragement.  I've started walking for now on my treadmill.  Hopefully as the weather cools, I can take more walks outside. I've started using my Fitness Pal app to watch my calorie intake,  taking in more protein then fatty foods. It's good to get some great ideas from other mothers and soon to be. Thanks#

14weeks tomorrow and I have gained 12lbs already :-\  not happy about it, and I truly do not feel like I'm over eating...I think it's been more of a lack of energy that has done me in. but I just keep telling myself I have the rest of my life to lose weight it's going to be ok

Find an exercise that is enjoyable to you. Swimming is great. Walking is great. Light weights are great for you. Exercise helps keep your weight in check and helps make labor and delivery easier.
As far as food, I make sure the majority of my meals and snacks are healthy. I indulge in cravings, but I try not to go over board.

There are studies trying to work out why some women gain weight and others don't. (Probably lots of factors).  However, if you can try to do quality for 2 and quantity for 1 that will help you be healthy.  Also regular exercise, plenty of water and preg multivitamins are recommended.  Some women in the obese range can use pregnancy as a way to overall lose weight by just eating normal healthy diet.  Talk to your midwife about how to keep your weight gain from being excessive and good luck
