Is it safe?

I'm 39 weeks and one day pregnant and trying to do things to start labor. Is it safe to use a vibrator on the highest setting to stimulate the clitoris and have multiple orgasms?

I know.  The end of a pregnancy is exciting, a little worrisome for all of us and, at this stage most of us just want those babies to come!  I'll bet just about every women who has had a baby has had thoughts about trying to get things going.  It wasn't a silly question at all.  You want to meet your daughter, plus your feeling uncomfortable.  I can well remember how tough it was to sleep in the last weeks with the movement and that big tummy. Try spending these last few days doing nice things for you.  Get a pedicure, try to take lots of naps and just pamper yourself.

Don't forget to update us on her arrival!  We love celebrating a new birth around here.  Wishing you an easy, safe delivery!

It was probably silly for me to ask this question since the baby is so protected in the amniotic fluid I'm sure she doesn't feel a thing I'm just a huge worry wort.

Well, unless your Dr. has told you not to have sex, then I am sure it's fine.

I'm going to be honest with you though..labor generally starts when baby is ready to come.  I would be more inclined to leave it alone..it's going to be anytime now anyway, so maybe best to just let it happen?  I remember being towards the end of my pregnancy and feeling so big and uncomfortable and just wanting that baby to be here.  But in all honesty, unless your Dr. feels it best to have baby come now, I would just let him/her be for now.  Like I said, it's probably any day now anyway.  Good luck!!
