I am 38 weeks and plan on working until 40 weeks then I'm going to rest....I never had a problem until this week my hips are in pain and I feel like my hips can't carry my weight...I'm a nurse so when I get off work my feet are in horrible pain....I just want to spend as much time as I can with my baby when she is born so I'm gonna try to continue working until I am due....hopefully that's 40 weeks

Standing. Nurse 12-14hrs a day. Worked up until 38wks when the dr called on Friday and said, we are inducing you on Monday. My feet and legs were swollen so bad I could feel the fluid moving when I walked. Luckily, I was off that weekend. I cramped so badly the night before I came in Monday 3 cm dialated! I took twelve weeks off. I think I had to get an extension signed by the dr stating I had issues with my blood pressure and other things. Other than that it went well. Most day cares won't take the baby til around three months anyway.

My first baby was due a couple of days before Christmas.  I worked up until I had vacation scheduled which was mid month (which I always took off mid month in December for vacation until the new year).  I could have worked until my due date but the holidays interfered.  :))  But then I was 10 days over due.  Grrrr.

I always worked up until the time I delivered.  But I had a desk job its different now cause I work at Walmart so I stand all day I have no car and I work far away from the hospital. I have to consult with the doctor when to take off

I am a nurse which means I hardly ever sit down during my shift. I am pushing and pulling and lifting totally physically dependent adults throughout my shift as well as walking several miles a day. I worked until 38 weeks with my first, when my blood pressure spiked and my midwives told me I had to take it easy until delivery. I'll likely make it as far this time as well.

I have an office job. I am not FMLA eligible (I'll have only been here 9 months by the time I deliver) and have asked to take 12 weeks off. Most of which will be unpaid of course. I work for a state government employer and so far no one has batted an eye at my request. I intend to work right up to my due date.

With my first, I was a manager of a large area in a major theme park. I was able to work up until I went into labor. And, believe me, my job was extremely physically demanding. This time, many years later, I'm a bartender at another theme park (I only work part time because my family runs a small business now). I've had some complications, and my bosses haven't been very understanding of my limitations. Needless to say, I won't be sad when the doc says I've had enough.

Taking off on 4/1(the soonest that I can get paid through SDI to do so)...4 weeks before sched. Csection and CAN'T wait. I work in an office about 3 days/15 hours a week in Addition to one day a week when I commute 300 hours and work about 5 hours in between. I have so much prep to do around the house and working plus commuting my 10 & 9 year old daily will not let me get it done before 4/30

My last day is 2 days before my c-section is scheduled. I did the same with my first.  I am a pharmacist and work 12 hour shifts, standing the majority of the time.
