I understand... I'm so sorry you're having to go through this. I've had two miscarriages myself, so I know how emotionally draining it can be. The first one needed a D&C, but the second one was a spontaneous miscarriage, just like you're experiencing, and my doctor monitored my levels until they went back down...even though I was only 6.5 weeks that time. I think it's important to do this, since there is a slight chance not all the tissue is being passed. And if so, you could develop an infection. By monitoring your levels, they'll be able to detect this, since the levels won't come all the way back down if there is any tissue left.

By the way, I also have a blood clotting disorder, called Factor V, but my doctors say not to start Lovenox (heparin) until a heartbeat is detected. Interesting...

Take care of yourself, Kitten!

thanks for all your support. I was too upset to go to that apt. yesterday. I talked to the nurse and she said since i wasn't too far along that i wouldn't have to wait long to try again. She said that your body doesn't recognize a pregnancy til around 8 weeks so my bleeding aka miscariage my body thinks is a period. I started doing heprin shots when i found out i was pregnant , the nurse said next time i will start them when i'm ovulating next. There is no way of knowing why this pregnancy didn't work, could've been chromosomal or even a blood clot...I have a blood clotting disorder.MTHFR. Just knowing that i can try again soon takes some of the pain away. Thanks again, Kitten.

I'm so sorry, kitten! I still think you should go back and see your doctor, though. I have heard of women getting pregnant with twins and losing one. Plus, even if you are miscarrying both, melimeli is right, your doctor needs to make sure your levels go back down to normal again.

Sending you lots of hugs!

I'm sorry... wow your dr seems a little harsh... didn't he think you may have a question... you will need to have hcg tests to make sure your numbers go back down to 0.

If your levels dropped, it seems like at least one of the embryos have stopped developing...but the other one may still be OK. Brown discharge is not abnormal, even when the pregnancy is progressing normally, but watch out for bright red bleeding accompanied by cramps.

I would go to your appointment tomorrow either way, just to have them check your levels again. I hope everything turns out OK for you!
