worried and scared

I'm 39 years old, have one child and wishing for another one. I went to my gyn and he order an endrovaginal
sonogram. Well got the results he read it to me and he told if I wanted another child and I said yes. He said
that his opinion was to remove my uterus, and plus because my age. But he said it's up to me. This guy I'm seeing
doesn't have any kids and he wants kids. I don't know what to tell him. Please help me. I don't know what to do.
This is putting stress on me.

OOps! Sorry, I just saw that your tag line says you have fibroids.  I'm not really sure about these, but I do know they cause complications if you get pregnant, often miscarriages.  Can you get it, or them, removed surgically so that you can still try to get pregnant?  Again, I would probably discuss further with your gyn and also see another doctor for a second opinion.

That is odd.. what was your doctor's reason for suggesting you have a hysterectomy?  39 years of age is quite young to have even a partial hysterectomy done, so there has to be some reason for the suggestion.  Do you have bad endometriosis?  Some other problems?

I would definitely find out exactly the reason for the suggestion and get a second opinion from a reproductive endocrinologist.
