40yo miscarriage December 11th and pregnant again....scared

I unexpectedly got pregnant and had a miscarriage in December. It made my husband and I realize we wanted another child. I just found out I am pregnant again on Monday. I am 4 weeks and 2 days. I am freaking out because my breasts are barely sore. Last time at 13dpo they hurt like fire. I had 2 children and that was my first sign of pregnancy.  They are a little tender, but nothing like my previous pregnancies. I am so scared! My first ultrasound is April 14th. The last ultrasound in December showed no heartbeat and I'm afraid it may be the same this time. Has anyone had very different pregnancies and everything turned out okay?

Congrats. So happy for you. Try to relax and enjoy it. I know it's not easy. Still no sign of my period and took a digital test Tuesday. Negative. I'm trying to not think I'm going through menopause. I have cut back on my google addiction. One night I was up comparing all my blood work. All my levels are fine beside the big one. Amh. LH is good, prolactin is good t4 is good. All a good thing considering I had pituitary surgery 10 years ago. Now I just want my period to come so I know what's happening!!! Good luck, so happy for you. I'm also trying to slow time as I turn 43 on June.

I lost one Oct 19th and now I am due Oct 20th. I was a nervous wreck but we have a heartbeat. I am still nervous and can't wait to go back to the dr. The Dr put me on medicine as soon as I called to let them know I was excepting again. I will be a nervous wreck till the baby gets here lol
I lost two . Both never had a heartbeat. After the first one I had a healthy boy who just turn 9.

Thank you for responding. I woke up with even more sensitive breasts and slight nausea. I am going to make an appointment with a new RE. I have one more test in the cabinet. I will wait to take it AGAIN. I get so fristrated with that damn line. I knew last time a week before my period was due and got a faint positive but a positive is a positive! I was shocked. So grateful for any response. My fiancé is awesome and says don't worry, next time but doesn't understand the stress involved and the feeling that I am less of a woman and damaged. X

With all of my pregnancies I knew I was pregnant before the test would give a positive result. Like this one I took five tests two weeks after DTD and it was negative when I knew it but had to wait to prove it! My last two were the same but I just couldn't prove it. Sometimes ya just know. Good luck to you.

It sounds like you've been through a lot. I tested too early and got a negative this month before my positive. Don't give up! There is always hope!

Wow, this makes me a little more hopeful. Had a mis October 15th. D&C December 8th ( docs not on the ball). I am 42, we decided to try in July and I had a positve by early September. I thought "how lucky are we?!?!"  The m/c crushed me. I have been through a lot in my life. This is why I waited so long to have a baby. After D&C I got a normal period 4 days later dec 12th. January 12th  and February 12 but this one was heavy and only a few days    HEAVY!!! Now nothing. Had spotting last Saturday March 21. Light pink, just a few wipes and then nothing. Had 3 negative HPTs and have had a few days nausea  and today my breasts are sensative. I dont know what to think. I have no sense of smell or taste so those symptoms are out. I'm so scared this could Perimenapause and my chances are gone. I also had genetic tests after mis and I am a fragile X carrier. My amh was so low the fertility specialist basically walked out of the room as there was no money to be made off of me. Maybe it's too early for positve test? Maybe I ovulated late? Spotting could have been implantation. All hopeful thinking I know. Best to you all. Congrats. These could all be signs my period is coming too. X

First you need to speak positivity into existence
Second if you're supposed to have a child, you will. I pray and go to church. You need to stay stress free and focus on the positive. Daydream when you feel sad even if it feels stupid.

I'm in the exact same boat as you. I also had a miscarriage in December at 3 months; baby had no heartbeat. I'm now 5 weeks and no pregnancy symptoms. Scared, but fingers crossed.
