Anyone use vistaril to help with contractions?

Up again all night with contractions. I will be 17 weeks Saturday and I cant sleep because of them. Anyone ever use this drug?

LOL - I answered your post about the nifedipine and didnt realize you were the author of both of the posts :-)

I hope your starting to feel a little better and those contractions are getting under control.

Hi he didn't give me vistaril. Nifedipine instead!! Lucky me.

Yes, I used vistaril during my pregnancy on the odd occasion. It is used by pregnant women to help with : sleep, allergies, and anxiety and will sometimes be given in labor to help her relax. Its a Class C medication.

Is there anything specific you wanted to know about vistaril?
