Dark line appearing only above belly button?

I think this is normal, but thought that I would throw it out to see what you all are going through.  A few weeks ago, I noticed a brown line forming around my belly button; knowing about the 'linea nigra', I wasn't really thinking about it much.  But mine has developed upward through the middle of my abdomen, not below my belly button to my 'ya-ya'...

Has this happened to anyone else? I thought that it was supposed to be BELOW my belly button.

I don't have any lines and I'm having a girl. Maybe after she is born i'll get the line like spade.

mine was above my belly button (and faint below), but very dark above...  mine lasted a while after I had both my kids too!

I've got a faint line both above and below my navel. It'd probably be darker but I'm really pale-skinned. :)

Mine is super faint below the belly button...for a long time I didn't even notice it.  It's quite dark above the belly button. All normal.  And in my case the old wives tale Heather talked about is true..I am having a boy.

Mine's very faint, but it's both below and above the belly button. I heard this old wives tale that if the line stops at the navel, you're having a girl, but if it continues above the belly button, it's a boy. Not accurate in my case, though...I'm having a girl ;-)
