Gabriel is here!!!
He was born March 22, 2008 at 11:11 a.m. 7 lb.3 oz 19 1/4 inches long. He is perfect!! Saturday morning I got up and posted here a few times early, then went back to bed for a couple of hours. After I got up I had my first contraction at 8:13 a.m. I knew it was the real thing (in case you are wondering if you will know). Dh came home and we went to the hospital with contractions about 2 minutes apart. I delivered at 11:11 a.m. (3 hours after my first contraction) naturally with nothing but one stadol shot about 45 minutes before he was born. He had meconium in his amnioc fluid so they took him to the NICU for 24 hours, but had no complications and we were complimented on how he regulated his sugar. His nurse told me I must have done a good job keeping my gestational diabetes regulated because he had no problems at all with his sugar levels!!
We are home now, and he was up most of the night. My milk has not come in yet which concerns me. I have had to give him an ounce of formula a few times to supplement the colostrum. Hopefullly dh will get the pictures on the computer today so I can post them for you to see how beautiful he is. Thank you all so much for your support. I am looking forward to sharing with you on the new Maternal and child 35+ forum.

Congrats girl!! You did so good. I know you and your family must be so happy and tired right now. Take care and don't worry about the formula. I had to do that also before my milk came in. Just make sure you breast feed before you give him the formula so your milk will come in.
Yeah.....!!!! it was the real thing... awe!!!!!!!! congratulations and what the heck girl 3 hrs.. I am jealous.. God I can only hope mine is that short! wow cant believe he is here. You rest up with that lil one and post those pics soon as you can cant wait to see him!

how wonderful congrat to u and ur family and to little gabriel for getting here so quickly so mommy didnt have to go thru too much pain :)

Congrats!!!! You had such a short labor!!! Yea!!!!!!! I am jealous my shortest has been 8.5 hrs and that was my 3rd baby! I sure hope I have a short one this time...... Happy B'day Gabriel!!!

Im sure he is relieve with your outcome and can rest now. enjoy that little one and keep up with breastfeeding.... your milk wont come in for a while..If I remember ugh.. like a week? I do know its like atleast a few days... omg... enjoy!!!

And don't worry about your milk, if you are nursing on demand, whenever and for however ever long he needs, your milk should come in very soon. The colostrum is "liquid gold" and will give your baby what he needs until your milk comes in. Good luck and best wishes!!!
