Group B Strep

I just received my Group B Strep test results and it says DETECTED!!! I have have had 3 healthy pregnancies and never had a problem with Group B. What do I do? What should I expect? I'm so nervous that it can be passed to my baby

From what I remember of my last labour (also positive for strep B) they gave me antibiotics but also had to deliver within 24 hours of waters breaking to avoid infection or something. So had to have things sped up a bit

This just means you will be put on antibiotics before you deliver :)

I've had it once out of four pregnancies and maybe this one. They just give you iv antibiotics. I never noticed anything at all.

Yes, agree with jenniferand3.  Try not to worry.  This is not uncommon and they know just what to do to make sure your baby is safe.  good luck hon

They'll give you antibiotics during labor so you don't pass it to your baby. Just got mine back yesterday and came back negative.
