Hemorrhoids!!!!

Ok, I hate to even bring it up.  I am 33 weeks and 4 days and just got these painful things.  I cant take it.  Nothing over the counter is working.  I have tried it all and spent a good $60 at the drugstore.  My husband thinks its hysterical and all my pregnant friends dont have any good remedies I havent tried.  I am afraid to poodinky!!  I will call my dr today, but what to do from some other moms might be helpful.  I also heard they never go away, is this true????

I have had them for 17 years. They always flare when I have poor diet and did not exercise. Now I have recurring diaper rash as one has moved outside. If you cannot get them back in and the pain is too great go to doc. I have heard horror stories about the removals however that is why I still have mine and try to manage.

I have tried H Miracle, and it worked for me. Maybe you can give it a try.

I have no miracle cure...just wanted to say that I completely understand!  I had 2 during pregnancy and managed to push out 4 more during the delivery.  OUCH!  It was so miserable for the first week or so until they healed a little bit.  Some of them are still there (externally) but they aren't irritated so I can deal with that.  It is so painful though!  Good luck!!!!

Have you tried a sitz bath?  Those were soothing after I had my dd, but they didn't "cure" them.

I don't know if this will work or not, but I was having problems will fissures (I know completly different) but I put a little A&D ointment on after bm to help the bleeding. Maybe that would help? I haven't had a problem yet, I think because I am on Metformin, which causes diahrea(sp?). Hope you feel better though!

Yes, yes, yes!!!!  Been there and am there!
OK after I gave birth to my dr. I used Tucks pads and sat in an epson salt bath.
Now to prevent all that I take pericolace at night when very bad and daily take the metamucil caplets.
good luck!  I know how horrible it is!  I suffered 2 weeks after my daughters birth with that and couldnt even sit down.  horrible!!!!

good luck!

I hope I don't ever get them, but one of my books suggests using Witch Hazel (sp?).  Don't know if you've already tried it and don't know if it will help.  Just thought I'd let you know.

I have been the unfortunate suffer of internal hemmrhoids for years and years due to IBS. They never go away for me and the only thing that truly helps me is stool softeners. I know what you are going through and you have my deepest sympathies. :)
