I am 30 weeks and have been diagnosed with polyhydramnios. I had the same condition with my last pregnancy. Both times I have tested negative for diabetes. With my last pregnancy I was monitored twice a week, and induced at 37 weeks to have my water break in a controlled environment due to the pressure from all the fluid. I was able to deliver naturally. Baby only spent a few days in the NICU. I am hoping for the best this time as well! Let me know if you have questions!
I am also worried plx tell me my AFI is 19cm..i am 36 weeks nw.. bpd n hc is measuring at 39 weeks.. probably its familial all my husbands side having big heads.. bt why high AFI?? I hv no sugar.. plxxx tell. Worried
I am in the same boat. Went in for my 32 week growth scan and I had a generous amount of fluid. My midwife made me go take a 3 hour glucose test even though I passed my 1 hour one because high fluid levels are usually a sign of gestational diabetes. Needless to say I failed my 3 hour test with flying colors..lol so I had to see a nutrionist and changed my diet and now have to,check my glucose levels everyday. The change in diet (low carb diet) has helped a lot with bringing some of my fluid levels down. I saw the regular doctor last week at almost 37 weeks to talk about birthing options and he said because of the GD I will for sure be induced before 39 weeks because they don't want the baby to be too big, which 2 weeks ago they estimated her at 8 lbs. So hopefully by next week I will have my baby! Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy and try not to worry too much!
