Pre eclampsia is more linked to high blood pressure and protein spilling in to the urine.   I don't think the GD puts you at risk for that.     However, for what it's worth...I had preeclampsia with my last pregnancy.  I think it showed up at about 7 1/2 months...i was put on "at home" bed rest and the worst effect I had from it was that I got very swollen in my hands and feet.   The did have to incude me at 38 weeks because of it, but everything turned out fine.   The big scary one is eclampsia.   I wouldn't worry too much about this.

you might not have failed at all if you had not eaten!!!!!!!!!! so make sure you do not eat this time! anyway, i failed the 1 hour in both pregnancies, and passed the 3 hour.  i don't know what horror stories there could possibly be, because other than having to sit there for 3 hours bored and hungry, there is nothing to be afraid of.

HI,
I had it with my 1st pg and I didn't even need to follow a strict diet, although I was very careful what I ate and I had to take my blood 2 hours after each meal.  I also had to have fetal non stress tests every 2 weeks, but that meant I got a lovely sonogram of her growing in my tummy and I didn't mind that either.
My DD was born healthy and I am fine.

no it does not mean you will get pre eclampsia.  there are no symptoms.  I failed for 2 pg's .  first one I controlled it with diet adjustments.  SEcond one I had to take insulin shots.  third one didn't have it.  It is not a big deal and is easily controlled.  Don't worry
