Late Pregnancy

Hello, im 43 years younger and would like to know what this means... I was 3 days late this past period which I got 03-20-11, it was normal which was heavy bleeding with clots.. On day 4 was light and i started to feel nauseus and since then I still feel nausea and now heavy feeling in my lower abdomen as well as a flutter type feeling.  I am constantly hungry and when i do eat i dont feel full.  lots of trips to bathroom.  Is it possible to be pregnant...

Yup, me too. Perimeno going on for years...peed on a stick on Saturday...BFP!
Last baby just turned two last week...never thought I would have another one after the one I had when I was 28. Peri started for me shortly after turning 30. 14 years between baby 3 and 4...
Anything is possible I guess.
Ob/gyn told me 3 years ago ( when I went in for meno testing) that it's actually easier during peri and the start of meno to get pregnant because your body is dumping more eggs at a time. She said that lots of peri women have twins or more.

She also told me that I was starting meno...2 months later I went back because the symptoms were terrible...had me pee on  a stick...was 4 weeks along. lol

I'm 43 and pg as well.    Don't give up hopes yet.    I'm 16 days away from my c-section, so it can and does happen for us.   CVS tests confirmed at 10 weeks that my baby was a healthy perfect little boy, so none of the scary statistics have found their way to me.

My cycles never changed, however when I started trying at age 41, I had a FSH of 13, so they knew I was heading toward no baby making days.   2 years later...yep 2 years later, I got PG, so it can and does happen for us.

I''ve also heard that even while IN menopause we can STILL get pg.    Even in menopause you will release an egg every once in awhile and all it takes is 1 sperm, so never give up hope if pg is your dream.

Good luck to you.

I am 43 years old and pregnant for 17 weeks now. My cycle was always every 28 days until about two years ago and then it changed to 24 to 23 days. My mother had early menopause (I think she was 43 when she had it) and so, I kind of expected the same to happen to me...yes, sigh...yet, I didn't give up--kept taking prenatal vitamin and eat healthy etc. but didn't get pregnant. Late Dec. last year, my period suddenly stopped and I had excruciating pain on my right breast. I suspected I had breast cancer because my last mammogram indicated I had something on my breast, although it was left side. Turns out that I got pregnant! So... don't give up hopes!!! It CAN happen! :)

I'm almost 43...and pretty sure my cycle has started "the change." My cycle has been very consistently every 28 days until the last two...both were at Day 24 or so. Then this month, exactly 28 days again. :::sigh::: I think my baby-making days and hopes are over.

If you had a period, even a late one it doesn't sound like a pregnancy, although certainly anything is possible.  Some women do bleed in early pregnancy.  It is more likely that your cycles are changing as kitkat said.  I have the odd unusual or late/early cycle as well.  It happens.

Could be a number of things...maybe you're cycle is changing. Has your period stopped altogether now? Maybe wait a week and see how you feel. Take a test then if you think you could be.
