Hi I was on lyrica, cocodamol 30/500, morphine patches, naproxen and tramadol along with a few others before pregnancy for EDS and PoTS. I stopped using all exvept cocodamol three months before as we were planning a baby and lyrica is one of those ones you usually need to wean off. I was on 125mg twice a day though so much higher dose to wean off. If I was you I would stop the Lyrica now. Asap. there have been studies done on it and it's really not good with pregnancy. I seen my doctor last week to get my medication sorted for when my wee one is born as I have constant subluxations and dislocations needing hospital admissions and I have zero pain relief. (My choice though as I am allowed co-codomol as and when needed). If you stop the Lyrica now then you'll feel a lot better regarding the baby and make an appt with your rheumatologist asap.
I was on Nuvigil when I got pregnant (had an IUD) and stopped taking it because I'm not certain if the risks. I have epilepsy, now I deal with seizures, but plan to go back on it after I'm done breastfeeding.
I am 25 weeks and on 30 mg of cymbalta. My dr told me the benefits outweighs the risks and said it was ok to take it. I have a very active baby boy. Nothing is wrong with him. But am concerned about withdrawal in baby after he is born
I was pregnant with my 2nd child while taking Lyrica. I didn't find out I was pregnant until I was 3 months along. when I went to the doctor there was no heartbeat. they sent me for a ultrasound and I had a missed miscarriage and had to have a dnc. I have had another child since and I was taken off lyrica. I has no problems with my 3rd pregnancy. I just wanted to google lyrica and miscarriage to see. My heart stopped when I seen your post. It might have been a hundred other things that caused it but I feel in my heart that me taking lyrica cause me to lose my child.. I was really drowsy and on a high dose when it happened.
thanks ladies, appreciate the input! i love the puzzle idea! one of my favorite pastimes that i seem to have forgotten about til you mentioned it!
OMG no meds for me my neurologist and urologist discontinued ALL RRMS & fibromyalgia meds for pregnancy I'm 7 weeks due 8/18/15
Any chronic pain legal narcotics are part B & D pregnancy absolutely nothing while pregnant for me. I'm exercising lightly & eating foods strong in iron, fiber protein & calcium. These help my discomforts alot. Lots of water and 3 glasses of milk daily w/prenatal vitamins hope you're drs can assist you with less mg meds if you must be on them God bless
I have chronic pain as well and was on a mass of meds with this surprise pregnancy. I can relate to the rebound of pain. Try all your non-medication techniques- warm baths, massage, deep breathing and imagery, see if you can get into some games or puzzles as distraction and by all means, tylenol is safe (i know, it doesnt do much)
I stopped all my fibro meds with this pregnancy. My last pregnancy last year ended in a missed miscarriage. I had been on quite a few meds for the fibro and had been taking them up to 7 weeks. I lost the baby at 10 weeks..Now I only take Plaquneil it helps. I also have Sjögren's syndrome. I take Plaquneil twice a day in addition to folic acid and my prenatal. I'm due any day now with a son
