Multiple Miscarriages

Hi Doctor,

My age is 36.
I had my first child when I was 28. My daughter is now 8 years old. She was born at 32 weeks as my water broke early. I had a C-section with my daughter. She is a perfect healthy girl. I conceived during my first cycle of trying with my daughter.
We started trying for our second child since August 2016. This time too, I conceived in my first cycle of trying. At almost 6 weeks, I started bleeding, my obgyn said it was a chemical pregnancy. Next cycle, I conceived again with the first cycle. This time also, I miscarried at 6 weeks.
Then I consulted a Reproductive Endocrinologist (RE), and me and my husband underwent all possible tests (chromosomal, hormonal, structural, FSH, AMH levels etc). All came back normal. I conceived next month again, and RE prescribed to use vaginal progesterone pills till 10th week of pregnancy as my progesterone tested during 4 week pregnancy is 11.5.  Third time also I had bleeding around 6 weeks, and I also passed 2 large sized clots. Bleeding stopped the next day and we could see a heartbeat. I continued using progesterone till 11 weeks and then stopped them. When I went for 12 week ultrasound, they could not find a heartbeat and said that the baby stopped growing at 11 weeks. I had a D&C and the fetus was tested. The chromosomal analysis report of the fetus said there is no problem with number of chromosomes in the fetus. It is 22 pairs + X,Y.
We started trying again from 3 months after D&C. We have been trying since the past 4 months, but could not conceive. I am worried that something wrong happened during the D&C, that is preventing me from conceiving, as I used to conceive everytime we tried, before the D&C.
Please suggest the solution to the problem. I am already 36 and afraid that I am running out of time.

After I had a miscarriage at 6wks with my 3rd pregnancy it took 3yrs before I conceived again!! Not to discourage you but it takes time for our bodies to heal and be prepared mentally, physically, and emotionally to endure 9 months of pregnancy and that's without all the extra that you've had to deal with recently! Why did you stop the estrogen?! Perhaps with your age (in the same age btw) you just can't produce enough estrogen on your own and is there any reason you can't continue the estrogen throughout your entire pregnancy once you conceive again?!

They could easily check estrogen levels next time before stopping it, but even in the ivf world they stop estrogen and progesterone at 10 -12 weeks.  I was 44 when I conceived and they stopped mine at 12 weeks.  
I agree with our bodies need time to reset.

I am so sorry for your losses.
It could just be your body trying to reset itself after going through so much.
Have your periods been lighter?  Stronger cramps then before the dnc?
You could request a saline sonohysterogram to check for scarring from the dnc.  
Ashermans Syndrome is uterine scarring from a dnc. It can prevent the embryo from being able to implant if it tries to implant on scar tissue.

Hi Mhv, Thanks for your response and the information. My periods have been regular and not lighter. Our DnC doc prescribed some tablet due to which I had strong cramps and had a quite rough night with cramps and heavy bleeding.  After DnC we waited for 2 months before I TTC. Luck didn't favor us and I couldn't conceive for 3 months in a row. We took an appointment with our EC end of this month. Hope problem will be identified. Any idea what kind of symptoms one can observe with Ashermans Syndrome? and what could be the best solution?

Symptoms would be lighter periods,  heavier cramping during period.  Or maybe nothing.  I would ask your doctor to do an SIS to see if there is any scarring.
It could very well be that your body is just trying to reset it self.  You, and it have been through a lot in the last few months, and it is not uncommon for a body to do strange things when you are trying to  conceive.
