Pregnant & 42

Just did pregnancy tests last week & positive. I am really freaked out about this. We did not think we could have baby. My fiance had a vasectomy 12 yrs ago. Any advice? My youngest will be 16 when baby is born.

Thats funny.  My hubby's oldest two children are 28 and they both have kids older than our youngest which is 2.  2 year old is an aunt to 5 kids,  the oldest being 12.  Also i am pregnant so the two oldest will be 29 when son is born in july.  Our 2 year old also has a first cousin who is 41 years old....lol.

Also I just wanted to say my brother is 9 days older than my oldest daughter. They are both 17. My mother and I were pregnant 3 times together. My two oldest boys are older than their uncle, my youngest brother (17). They are 20 and 19.

I just had my 10th 9 weeks ago and I am 38. We've been married 21 years last month and our oldest is 20. We have 5 boys and 5 girls. I'm glad you're keeping it. I couldn't believe it when I read comments saying you have to decide whether you will keep it or not. For us there was never anything to decide. Of course, we never had any thought about that. Congratulations on your baby. They are a joy like no other.

My mum had my littlest brother at 45. He is 11 months and 1 day older than my own 6 year old son! I am 30 I have a 28 yr old brother, a 26 yr old sister, a 16 yr old brother and then the youngest at 7!! I also have a 9 year old nephew and a 5 year old niece! Mum said once she was over the initial shock she lived having the younger ones. She got to spend time with them one on one and noticed the milestones the hit each time. Where as with 3 under 5 she missed a fair bit, being too busy. I know i amno where near the same situation but just thought i would share about my mum. we all get along great and help each other out. plus having my brother the same age as my son is in many ways a god send, considering i am only just now pregnant with our 2nd!! Good luck, enjoy! Xxxx

We no doubt will be keeping this baby! We are starting to get excited now that the shock has worn off a bit. I am only approx. 5 wks...so long time to go but I know in the end it will be all worth it! We have children from our previous marriages but to have one together is a special thing. My children are 21 & 15. His children are 23, 21, 19. Plus he is a grandpa of a 3 & 4 month old. I hope to get support on here. Hope to hear from you!

I've been down both roads in my lifetime...both keeping and choosing not to...for various reasons and I won't go into that here. Just want to say good luck to you in your decision...make sure no matter what u decide its something you can live with. Your body your choice and you have to do what's right longterm for you.

I'm 36 & getting ready to have my 1st, which we r very excited abt BUT I can totally understand how this would not b an automatically exciting/wonderful thing for everyone. it is a big decision & one that has to b met w/ a lot of thought & soul searching. I just wanted to say good luck in whatever u decide to do!

Well you've got to decide if you want to continue with the pregnancy or not. Which I total know is a HARD decision. I'm 38 YRS old important 32.5 weeks with baby number five. When she's born my kids will be 18,15,11,8 it was a tough back and forth decision. Bcuz age health history was huge thing.  But we decided to continue with it after alot of tears and doubts etc.  Now we're glad we've gone on with it. You have to make that personal decision for NOONE BUT YOU. NOONE is living it but you.  Best of luck honey. If you ever want to chat msg me:)
